[So it is quite late, approaching midnight when, Chain and friends start making their way into Axum's territory, it's dark but not impossible to see, as various lights are on, in homes and boats, or lighting the docks so no one accidentally walks off them into the sea.

[suddenly twists his torso to pull the Ichibei diagonally forward, attempting to make the (probable prime, too weak to be champion?) other man stumble to Hiruma's right side. it's not a fast or powerful maneuver, but hopefully wholly unexpected. his left hand tightens its hold around his only weapon, such a shitty knife with a broken one-inch blade, and aims down for the Ichibei's thigh.]

[he's not caught off guard: spoilers HE REALLY DOESN'T TRUST YOU ASSHOLES. So no, not very unexpected. When he's yanked he resists briefly, then steps into it, wary look turning into a glare, and he swings his empty wine bottle riiiight at Hiruma's face, either not noticing or just ignoring the knife.]

[he doesn't have the reaction speed or ability to dodge a close-quarters attack, but that's fine. if someone's going to fucking feed off him, he's getting something nice and bloody in return.]

But success or fail on that end he's just going to. Hit him again, merciless, some of the anger starting to show in his movements.]

[fucking grinds the knife around in a circle, the dull knife not slicing into the skin so much as it is pulling the wound's hole open wider with brute force. he leans against the Ichibei's side, aiming to upset the other's force of gravity and lessen the force of the blows.
